To wax or not to wax that is the question.

For those of you that are familiar with me know I can be a bit high maintenance. I like to be pampered, get my hair and nails done and most recently I have discovered the joy that is paying to get my eyebrows waxed. It was looking like the days of plucking beastly brows in the search of the perfect arch were gone . . . . .until $16 every 2 weeks started adding up. Not to mention the babysitting charge to run and get this little luxury done. So . . . brilliant little me decided that I would learn to wax at home. After all how hard can it be?

I went to Sally's to price out the supplies, since I have previously tried other at home methods from Target, Walmart and the local grocery stores and none were to my satisfaction. And what should I stumble upon? Could this be? Oh the waxing gods are smiling on my new adventure. All the supplies came in a professional bundle for $25, as long as I had a coupon. And could it be . . . . it came with an instructional DVD. Where oh where could I find this coupon! Oh theres one right in the plastic shopping bin Callie was shoving in my hand. It was fate. So yes I purchased that waxing system. After all, with an instructional DVD how hard can it be.

Four hours later . . . Callie is in bed, the wax is warm, and I attempt my first eyebrow . . . . it came out perfect. I did the second eyebrow . . . also perfect. So then I attempted my upper lip and again got spectacular results with hardly any effort. I am definently thinking there might be a career change in the near future.

What can I wax next I think to myself . . . . Well I haven't shaved my legs in a while (don't judge I'm a single woman with no prospects. Who's gonna care if I don't shave everyday.) So I get ready . . . apply the wax . . . apply the strip . . . . rip off the strip . . . . and HOLY CRAP!!! That freaking hurts and all the hair isn't gone. I try it a few more times. Maybe I'm doing it wrong so I spread the wax a little thinner. Then a little thicker. Still the same results. So now here I sit with slightly less hairy legs but perfect brows thinking its gonna take me a long time to use all this wax.

Maybe its time to pull out that instructional DVD.
